What You'll Do
As a Pest Control Service Technician, you will:
- Visit residential and commercial properties to provide professional pest control services.
- Inspect properties to identify pest activity, entry points, and possible causes of infestations.
- Explain your findings and treatment recommendations clearly to customers.
- Provide accurate estimates and recommend additional services when appropriate.
- Manage daily routes, paperwork, equipment, and your company vehicle.
- Safely use EPA-approved pesticides and professional safety equipment.
What Success Looks Like
During your first 6-12 months, you will work toward becoming a confident, dependable technician who can safely complete core services, communicate effectively with customers, manage your daily route, and make progress toward Virginia pest control licensing.
What We're Looking For
- A valid driver's license and driving record that meets company requirements.
- Comfort with physical work, including walking, standing, manual labor, and entering crawl spaces or other tight areas.
- Comfort working outdoors in changing weather conditions.
- Professional communication skills and the ability to work in customers' homes and businesses.
- A dependable, safety-conscious attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to pass a required background check and meet applicable Virginia registration requirements.
Previous pest control experience or a Virginia pest control technician license is a plus, but not required. We will train the right candidate and support the licensing process.
Work Location / Schedule
This is a field-based position serving residential and commercial customers in the company's service area. The role includes travel between customer properties, outdoor work, and physical activity throughout the day. Seasonal overtime may be available during the spring and summer busy season.
