Position:
The Route Manager functions as the ambassador for Panda Pest Management and is responsible for the company image and brand while providing safe, legal, and effective pest management.
Responsibility Level:
The Route Manager reports directly to the Owner of Panda Pest Management.
Essential Job Functions:
· Inspect areas and treat for pests.
· Use handheld computerized device to access client data and recordkeeping.
· Document issues, products, locations and times while working.
· Attend meetings for training.
· Maintain working relationships with coworkers and customers.
· Plan and organize route for maximum efficiency.
· Maintain a clean and organized service vehicle.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Essential Physical Functions:
The incumbent must be able to talk and hear over the phone, and in person. The incumbent will routinely stand, walk, reach, balance, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Vision abilities require driving, as well as close reading. Lifting and carrying is occasionally up to 50 pounds. The incumbent is routinely exposed to wet conditions, foul odors, and all types of weather conditions. Information regarding hazardous chemicals in the workplace is available.
Essential Mental Functions:
The incumbent works in a quiet environment with rare phone calls and abundant quiet time. Incumbent must sustain concentration, follow a set of procedures and organize own work. Most of the work requires precise detail and adherence to company policies and practices.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· High School Diploma or GED.
· Problem solving and attention to detail.
· 1 year in Pest Control preferred.
· 1 year in customer service field preferred.
· Excellent Customer Service and Communication skills.
· Proficient in safe driving and road conditions.
· Acceptable DMV record and valid Drivers License.
· Must pass criminal background check (DOJ/FBI).
· Ability to read pesticide labels and follow directions.
