Compensation:$140,000 - $180,000
Responsibilities:- Converse with clients, expert witnesses, supporting witnesses, insurance company adjusters, and medical providers to gather information
- Settle on the clients’ behalf when appropriate and negotiate reasonable agreements
- Evaluate potential personal injury claims and provide legal advice to prospective clients accordingly
- Supervise and delegate tasks to the team of legal assistants, personal injury paralegals, case managers, litigation paralegals, and legal secretary
- Gather insurance policies, medical expenses, medical records, and other evidence relevant to the case, and conduct legal research on case law and premises liability
- Handle a full caseload of personal injury matters, including motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, and catastrophic injury cases
- Conduct client consultations, evaluate claims, and develop case strategies
- Draft and review pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and settlement demands
- Negotiate effectively with insurance adjusters and opposing counsel
- Represent clients in depositions, mediations, hearings, and court proceedings
- Maintain detailed case documentation and ensure compliance with firm processes
- Collaborate with paralegals, case managers, and support staff to drive case progress
Qualifications:- Superior research, negotiation, drafting, and communication skills are highly valued
- Membership in the State Bar Association and a state license to practice law is mandatory
- A minimum of 3 years of personal injury litigation or trial experience in medical malpractice, wrongful death, personal injury, or civil litigation practice areas is necessary
- Requires a bachelor’s degree and a J.D. degree
- Computer proficiency is essential
- Active license to practice law in the state of Georgia (required)
- Strong deposition, motion‑practice, and courtroom advocacy skills
- Excellent legal writing, analytical, and negotiation abilities
- Ability to manage multiple cases with discipline, organization, and attention to detail
- Client‑focused mindset with excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Self‑motivated, proactive, and comfortable taking ownership of litigation strategy
