- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene.
- Provide assistance with mobility, transfers, positioning, ambulation, and the use of mobility aids while following proper body mechanics and safety procedures.
- Assist clients with meal preparation, feeding, hydration, and special dietary requirements as directed.
- Perform light housekeeping duties, including laundry, dishwashing, vacuuming, changing bed linens, and maintaining a clean and safe living environment.
- Remind clients to take medications as prescribed (medication reminders only, unless otherwise authorized by state regulations).
- Observe and report changes in the client's physical, emotional, or mental condition to the supervising nurse or care coordinator.
- Assist clients with exercises and range-of-motion activities as directed by the care plan.
The purpose of this position is to provide compassionate, high-quality, and patient-centered personal care services to individuals who require assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) due to age, illness, disability, or recovery from injury. The Personal Care Attendant (PCA) is responsible for supporting clients in maintaining their independence, dignity, comfort, and overall well-being while promoting a safe and healthy living environment. The PCA works under the supervision of licensed healthcare professionals or care coordinators and provides non-medical assistance in accordance with the client's individualized care plan.
