Personal Care Assistant FT 11PM - 7:00AM

Job Description

The Personal Care Assistant FT is for the 11PM-7AM SHIFT and is to help our residents with activities of daily living, such as hygiene, toileting, dressing, bathing, transferring, and incontinence. The ideal candidate for this position has a high school diploma or GED and a genuine desire to work with the elderly. Candidates should be caring, kind, honest, and dependable. Previous experience is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Helps clients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, oral hygiene, and/or ambulation. Helps resident to and from daily activities.
• Establishes and maintains effective communication and a professional relationship with residents, co-workers, and others
• Maintains confidentiality regarding resident information
• Uses equipment and supplies safely and properly
• Ensures that the required documentation is complete and is in compliance with regulations and standards
• Participates in in-service and continuing education programs, staff meetings, and other meetings/events as requested by the immediate supervisor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Genuine desire to work with the elderly and/or disabled
• Knowledge of general sanitary and safety practices
• Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed
• Reliable transportation

The facility is not located on a bus line.
