Robert Moses Middle School in the North Babylon Union Free School District is seeking a dedicated, reliable, and enthusiastic Permanent Substitute Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. This is a full-time position where the successful candidate will report daily to the building and provide instructional support as needed across various subject areas and grade levels.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing coverage for classroom teachers during absences.
• Implementing lesson plans left by teachers or delivering prepared instructional materials.
• Maintaining a positive and productive classroom environment.
• Assisting with supervision duties throughout the school day (hallways, cafeteria, arrival/dismissal, etc.).
• Being flexible and ready to work in a variety of classrooms and with different student needs.

Qualifications:

• Valid New York State Teaching Certification (any content area).
• Prior classroom experience preferred.
• Strong classroom management and interpersonal skills.
