Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced RN Manager – Trauma Program to oversee and coordinate trauma services within a Level III Trauma Center environment. The Trauma Program Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive and cost-effective trauma care program while ensuring compliance with state and national trauma standards.
This leadership role serves as a liaison between hospital departments, EMS providers, fire and police services, and state trauma authorities to support optimal patient outcomes throughout the continuum of trauma care.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and oversee trauma program operations and patient care activities.
- Coordinate trauma services in collaboration with the Trauma Medical Director.
- Monitor trauma patient records, documentation, and trauma registry data for quality assurance and compliance.
- Prepare for state and American College of Surgeons trauma designation reviews and site visits.
- Respond to trauma activations during scheduled work hours and assist with trauma response coordination.
- Maintain relationships with EMS providers, fire departments, ambulance services, police agencies, and trauma authorities.
- Oversee quality improvement initiatives and monitor trauma care performance metrics.
- Manage and support trauma-related policies, procedures, and educational initiatives.
- Assist with oversight of computerized patient care reporting systems and trauma program documentation.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure efficient and effective trauma patient care delivery.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New Hampshire required.
- BSN required.
- Current BLS certification required.
- Current ACLS certification required.
- Current PALS certification required.
- Current TNCC certification required.
- CEN certification preferred.
- Minimum of three (3) years of recent trauma nursing experience in an acute care setting required.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Experience with trauma program coordination, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance preferred.
