Join Our Team as a Neonatologist at Tanner Medical Center – Carrollton, Georgia
About the Opportunity:
Pediatrix Medical Group, a leading provider of neonatal and maternal care, in partnership with Tanner Medical Center, is seeking a compassionate and highly skilled Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Neonatologist to join our dynamic, physician-led NICU team in Carrollton, GA. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert clinical care for neonates in a Level-III NICU, which includes approximately 10 beds and around 1,000 births annually.
- Manage daily care in a dedicated 20-bed newborn nursery, with support from Neonatal Nurse Practitioners (NNPs).
- Collaborate within a dedicated team structured around a three-physician neonatal staffing model to ensure comprehensive coverage.
- Perform daily rounds in the NICU and newborn units, emphasizing evidence-based, family-centered care.
- Oversee admissions, stabilization, and ongoing management of critically ill and preterm infants.
- Provide clinical oversight, consultation, and coordination with nursing staff, NNPs, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Participate in a flexible home-call schedule designed to promote work-life balance, supported by daytime APP/NNP coverage.
- Contribute to maintaining high standards of neonatal care in a recently renovated, cutting-edge facility equipped with the latest technology.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neonatology.
- Medical license to practice in Georgia or eligibility to obtain one.
- Residency within the immediate local area is required; relocation assistance available.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality, compassionate neonatal care.
- Previous experience in a Level-III NICU is preferred but not mandatory for eligible candidates.
