Position: Director of Patient Experience, Quality, and Safety (Days)

Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to serve as the Director of Patient Experience, Quality, and Safety. This pivotal role provides system-wide strategic oversight to enhance patient care quality, safety, and satisfaction, aligning with our organizations mission, vision, and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will be a passionate advocate for patient-centered care, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, implementation, and ongoing enhancement of quality, patient safety, and infection prevention programs across the health system.
- Ensure full compliance with all relevant regulatory bodies, including The Joint Commission, CMS, and state and federal agencies.
- Serve as the primary organizational leader for quality performance improvement, patient safety initiatives, and infection control.
- Develop and execute a strategic operational plan that aligns with organizational goals, focusing on high reliability principles, reducing variation, and improving clinical outcomes.
- Foster a culture of transparency, accountability, and learning by collaborating with clinical leaders, physicians, and support staff to embed best practices into daily operations.
- Utilize patient feedback, experience metrics, and data analytics to inform decision-making and tailor initiatives that elevate the patient and family experience.
- Monitor and evaluate performance metrics, ensuring sustained improvement and adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Lead system-wide efforts to implement high reliability organization (HRO) principles, promoting a culture that prioritizes safety, consistency, and continuous improvement.
- Provide strategic guidance for change management initiatives aimed at improving patient outcomes and organizational performance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in healthcare quality, patient safety, or patient experience leadership roles.
- Extensive knowledge of regulatory standards and accreditation processes.
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of leading multidisciplinary teams towards shared goals.
- Analytical and strategic thinking with the ability to translate organizational objectives into actionable plans.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and change management skills.
- Commitment to fostering a patient-centered culture and promoting organizational learning.
