Internal Medicine Hospitalist – Full-Time Position
Location: Dothan, Alabama

Overview:
We are seeking a full-time, Board-Certified Internal Medicine Hospitalist to join our dynamic, hospital-employed hospitalist team at Southeast Health in Dothan, Alabama. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a growing practice in a reputable regional medical center serving a diverse patient population across multiple age groups and socio-economic backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive inpatient care for unassigned patients presenting to the Emergency Department requiring hospital admission.
• Manage transfers and perform in-hospital consultations across various medical specialties.
• Collaborate with intensivists to admit, co-manage, and treat adult patients within the critical care setting.
• Participate in a 7-days-on, 7-days-off schedule with 12-hour daytime shifts (7 am – 7 pm), averaging a minimum of 12 shifts per month, with flexibility for scheduling adjustments.
• Support adult ICU patients, including those requiring ventilator management, with 24/7 pulmonary and critical care backup.
• Utilize EPIC EMR to document and coordinate patient care efficiently.
• Engage in limited coverage for select primary care patients of private practices, as needed.
• Work alongside a multidisciplinary team supported by advanced subspecialty, radiology, and APP resources.

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of an Internal Medicine residency program.
• Board certification in Internal Medicine.
• Alabama medical license or eligibility to obtain licensure.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
