Job Title: Certified Medical Assistant (Behavioral Health) / Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Perm Placement

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and professional Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) with a specialization in Behavioral Health, or a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), to join our team as a permanent employee. The ideal candidate will provide essential clinical support within a behavioral health setting, ensuring high-quality patient care through a combination of technical expertise and compassionate service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform clinical procedures such as blood draws, injections, child immunizations, and relevant lab tests within the scope of medical assistant certification or LPN licensure.
  • Assist physicians during examinations, including measuring blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration.
  • Ensure examination rooms are clean, well-stocked, and operational at all times.
  • Manage patient communication by returning phone calls, providing instructions as directed by the physician, and addressing patient questions with professionalism.
  • Maintain accurate and complete medical records, including referral forms, lab slips, and other necessary documentation.
  • Assist patients in navigating exam rooms and prepare them for procedures, ensuring a smooth clinical workflow.
  • Support nursing procedures and tasks as directed by the physician.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and adapt to varying responsibilities to meet the needs of the practice.
  • Uphold confidentiality and exercise discretion in handling patient information and practice management matters.
  • Represent the professional standards of the office through personal appearance and attitude, demonstrating neatness, cleanliness, and a caring, calm demeanor.

Qualifications and Certifications:
  • Valid BLS (AHA) certification required.
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification or equivalent.
  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license preferred; applications from both CMA and LPN candidates are encouraged.
  • Prior experience in behavioral health or primary care is a plus.
  • Personal qualities include professionalism, a compassionate nature, emotional stability, and the ability to work effectively under stress.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a team-oriented attitude.
