Additional Position Details: FTE: 1.0 | Full Time | Variable Hours/Variable Days

Salary Range: $67.26 and up, depending on relative experience

Position Summary

The Perfusionist operates the extracorporeal circulation equipment during any medical situation where it is necessary to support or replace a person's cardiopulmonary, circulatory, or respiratory function. The Perfusionist is responsible for the selection of appropriate equipment and techniques necessary for support, treatment, measurement, or supplementation of the cardiopulmonary and circulatory system of a patient, including the safe monitoring, analysis, and treatment of physiologic conditions under an order and under the supervision of a physician.

Position Qualifications

Education

  • Graduate of an accredited cardiovascular perfusion education program- OR- currently enrolled in an accredited cardiovascular perfusion education program with an anticipated graduation prior to the date of the examination - OR- admitted to the examination process before April 15, 1981 -OR- previously certified by the ABCP.

Certification/Licensure

  • CCP: Certified Clinical Perfusionist required upon start
  • BLS: Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider certified through the American Heart Association (AHA) required upon start
