Performance Engineer

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Performance Engineer in Miami, FL.

Summary: The client is looking for a Senior Performance Engineer to own and elevate API performance testing across a complex, integrated application ecosystem. This role goes beyond executing load tests - it requires someone who can define performance strategy, interpret results, and clearly communicate business impact to both technical teams and leadership.

This position is a replacement for an existing contractor, with the goal of a smooth transition once the right candidate is identified.

Key Responsibilities: Own API performance testing across a distributed ecosystem that includes:

• Salesforce
• MuleSoft
• Oracle
• Boundary and downstream applications with heavy API dependencies

Design and execute a comprehensive performance testing strategy, including:

• Load testing
• Stress testing
• Scalability testing
• Endurance testing
• Volume testing

Develop structured performance test plans that clearly define:

• User and transaction models
• Test duration and ramp profiles
• Objectives, thresholds, and success criteria

Execute tests using industry standard tooling and analyze results to identify:

• Bottlenecks
• Failure points
• Scalability risks

Partner closely with engineering, architecture, and DevOps teams to:

• Drive root cause analysis
• Recommend remediation approaches
• Validate fixes

Leverage existing automation frameworks where applicable (Playwright, TypeScript, Cucumber): Produce clear, executive ready summaries outlining:

• What was tested
• Why it matters
• What the results mean for performance, stability, and risk
• Recommended next steps
