As a successful candidate, you will:
- The radiology nurse preps and assesses patients, assists with anesthesia induction, providing patient education including discharge instruction.
- The radiology nurse will assist in coordinating the patient''s schedule to ensure that all procedures are performed in a safe and efficient manner.
- Addresses the psychosocial needs of the patient specifically in regards population specifics and acts as educator and resource person to patients and their families.
- Complies with all safety procedures in operating equipment and applies principles of radiation safety in all radiological activities.
- This position requires flexibility to accommodate varying patient''s needs. This is a full-time position working 4/10hr.
- 1 shift a week and possible Saturdays. The shift is days and hours are 10-hour shifts starting between 10am - 11am.
- Evening Shift Differential: $2.75
Your qualifications should include:
- Bachelor's degree or master's degree in nursing is required.
- Three to five years related experience.
- Current California Registered Nurse License
- Current BLS certification from American Heart Association
- Current ACLS certification from American Heart Association
- Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certificate or Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy Certificate (Must be obtained within 6 months of hire)
