ABOUT STEP
The STEP (Skills, Transitions, Exploration and Progress)Program is a partnership between Kaiser Permanente and Seneca Family of Agencies located in San Jose, CA. STEP provides intensive, short-term stabilization services to youth, ages 12-17, for an average of 15 days. Our goal is to reintegrate our youth into schools and the community with lower levels of outpatient mental health treatment.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinates and facilitates referral and intake process
Collects and analyzes assessment data to formulate resident care problems, individualized outcomes, plans, implements and evaluates nursing interventions
Facilitates the Recreational Group for the program
Provides all care required to be given by a RN on shift assigned
Meets all regulatory and facility documentation standards
Collaborates with Psychiatrist to ensure quality of medication administration, adequate consents, medical treatment and follow-up
Collaborates with Clinical Manager to ensure health and safety, infection control, resource utilization, and clinical and rehabilitative standards of care
Participates in nursing department, staff meetings and other facility activities
QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED:
Bachelors of Science in Nursing OR
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Active CA Registered Nurse license
Current CPR – BLS certification
Must be at least 21 years of age
Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and insurability through Seneca’ insurance policy
TB test clearance, fingerprinting clearance, and any other state/federal licensing or certification requirements
