Per Diem Clinical Assistant - PACU

Assisting patients with feeding and hygiene, obtaining, measuring and recording routine information such as temperature, pulse and blood pressure, and performing other related duties according to specific needs of unit as needed. Assisting with stocking and sanitizing in the pre-op holding and post anesthesia care units and setting up bed spaces for patients.

Position Summary/ Department Summary:
We are seeking a per diem Clinical Assistant to join the team within our Perioperative Program.

Key Responsibilities:

• Following established procedures and instructions, providing basic direct care to patients as delegated by a Registered Nurse.
• Assisting patients with feeding and hygiene, obtaining, measuring and recording routine information such as temperature, pulse and blood pressure, and performing other related duties according to specific needs of unit as needed.
• Transporting patients, supplies and equipment as needed.
• Assisting with stocking and sanitizing in the pre-op holding and post anesthesia care units and setting up bed spaces for patients.
• Identifying and reporting unusual findings or changes in patient condition to Registered Nurse.

Minimum Qualifications
Education:

• HS Diploma or equivalent

Experience:

• 1 year CA experience or Nursing Student with at least one clinical rotation preferred
• Experience working on a team is preferred.

Licensure/ Certifications:

• CNA certification or equivalent preferred.
