Danbury Hospital, a 456-bed acute care hospital, has been providing award-winning personalized patient care to the people of Western Connecticut for 140 years. Our specialty areas of excellence include a Level III NICU, a certified Thrombectomy-Capable Stroke Center, and compassionate psychiatric care, including a partial-hospitalization program.

Summary Provides professional care through direct lactation assessment, intervention, evaluation, education, and follow-up of breastfeeding women affiliated with Danbury Hospital and in the community. The nursing process is utilized in collaboration with the health care team to implement a plan of care specific to the needs of each breastfeeding family.
