The Team A&Ms Private Equity Performance Improvement Services PEPI practice with offices throughout the US focuses on serving the middle market and large cap private equity firms who have engaged A&M to help improve operating results at their portfolio companies. Our professionals are aligned with a PEPI service line to promote the development of deep functional skills & experiences and to maximize our ability to tailor solutions to solve our clients business issues.
Our PEPI services include: • Transformation Services • Commercial Due Diligence • Interim Management • M&A Services • Manufacturing Operations Improvement • Supply Chain • CFO Services
Role Overview Directors are the primary engagement owners. They lead CDDs end-to-end, manage clients day-to-day, and are accountable for insight quality, judgment calls, and delivery.
Key Responsibilities • Own the engagement from kickoff through final IC read-out • Frame diligence scope, hypotheses, and priority risks • Lead day-to-day client interaction with PE deal teams • Orchestrate Managers and workstreams into a cohesive storyline • Make judgment calls on trade-offs, depth vs. speed, and risk emphasis • Ensure outputs are investment-committee ready • Coach Managers on judgment synthesis and leadership
Qualifications • MBA from a top-tier business school • 8 years of experience, including 2 years in consulting or CDD • Deep understanding of PE decision-making and diligence dynamics • Strong executive presence and client credibility

The salary range is $150,000-$225,000 annually, dependent on several variables, including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography. In addition, A&M offers a discretionary bonus program, which is based on a number of factors, including individual and firm performance. Please ask your recruiter for details.
