Job Title: People Services Director / Human Resources Director

Position Summary

The People Services Director / Human Resources Director leads and directs all HR and People Services functions to achieve departmental and organizational objectives. This role oversees staffing, employee development, compliance, and organizational effectiveness while fostering a professional and collaborative work environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate departmental goals, plans, and standards aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Direct HR operations including staffing, onboarding, performance management, disciplinary actions, and professional development.
  • Prepare, monitor, and manage departmental budgets to ensure operations align with allocated resources.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, and coordinate internal/external audits.
  • Foster a culture of professional growth, engagement, and accountability.
  • Oversee departmental policies, procedures, and documentation to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to HR staff.
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Manage staff including planning, assigning, reviewing, and evaluating work.
  • Hire, terminate, train, and develop team members; administer corrective actions as needed.
  • Ensure quality standards and departmental goals are met.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Education: Master's degree in Human Resources or related field required.
  • Experience: Labor relations and collective bargaining negotiation experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and make independent judgments.
  • Skilled in HR systems, Microsoft 365 tools, and HR reporting/analytics.
Physical and Mental Demands
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, and lift up to 20 pounds.
  • Repetitive computer work required; vision and dexterity to operate office equipment.

Work Environment
  • On-site in an office and hospital environment with potential exposure to biohazards, chemicals, or contagious illnesses.
