Role: People Reporting and Analytics Manager

The Role

The People Reporting and Analytics Manager is responsible for leading the delivery of high-

quality people dashboards, reporting and analysis that support strategic and operational

decision-making across the firm. The role combines ownership of core workforce reporting

with the ability to respond to evolving stakeholder needs through bespoke analysis, practical

insight and continuous improvement. It drives clear definitions, strong reconciliation and

reporting governance, while ensuring People leaders have access to timely, trusted and

actionable information. Working closely with People, Finance, Technology and wider business

stakeholders, this role manages a varied pipeline of dashboard, cyclical and ad hoc reporting

requests, supports the effective use of reporting outputs, and helps embed a more consistent, insight-led approach to people decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

People Management & Service Delivery

  • Lead the day-to-day delivery of People reporting, dashboard development and insight

services, including team leadership, coaching and development

  • Drive continuous improvement in service delivery, focusing on quality, responsiveness,

and efficiency

  • Partner with People leaders and key stakeholders to shape reporting priorities, agree

definitions and ensure outputs are aligned to business questions and decision-making

needs

  • Maintain and enforce clear operational procedures to support consistent and compliant

team practices

  • Partner with the People Technology Manager to ensure alignment and collaboration

across related workstreams

  • Prioritise team workload, manage resource allocation, and lead capacity planning
  • Partner with centralised data and reporting teams to ensure seamless delivery and

alignment of People Data and Reporting services and governance of Workday data

models/organizations

  • Partner with IT to support integrations

People Reporting, Dashboards & Insight

  • Lead the development, release and continuous improvement of People dashboards and

reporting outputs, including reporting hub content, ensuring they are practical, accessible

and aligned to stakeholder needs

  • Define and deliver the People reporting and insight roadmap, with a focus on decision-

useful management information, clear definitions, and strong governance

  • Apply agile and pragmatic approaches to enhance reporting capabilities, integrating legacy

systems where needed to deliver actionable insights

  • Build strong relationships with People leadership and key stakeholders to translate

business questions into meaningful dashboards, analysis and management information

  • Provide clear commentary, training and support to help stakeholders understand reporting

outputs, definitions and how best to use them

  • Deliver bespoke analysis and deep dives on priority topics such as workforce composition,

turnover, recruitment, performance and organisational trends

  • Collaborate with other business services data teams to align definitions, reconcile outputs

and support a more consistent firm-wide reporting approach

  • Strengthen data literacy and insights capability across the People Function
  • Develop and implement governance frameworks, policies, and controls to ensure

compliance with data protection regulations such as GDPR

  • Oversee the intake, prioritisation and delivery of reporting requests, balancing cyclical

reporting, dashboard enhancements and ad hoc stakeholder needs

  • Establish clear standards, definitions and controls for People reporting to improve

consistency, trust and usability across outputs

  • Lead delivery of priority reporting initiatives, ensuring outputs are practical, timely and

aligned to stakeholder expectations and business cycles

  • Oversee the team's delivery against cyclical planning activities, ensuring consistent

execution and quality assurance

  • Lead data quality and reconciliation activity across People reporting, identifying root

causes, improving process discipline and increasing confidence in workforce data

Enhancements & Upgrades

  • Lead planning and implementation of new functionality in bi-annual Workday releases
  • Ensure system enhancements are fully leveraged to optimise technology capabilities and

improve the employee experience

  • Lead the team to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations based on

business needs and efficiency

  • Promote a downstream impact mindset, ensuring changes are assessed for broader

system implications

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Strong experience in People reporting, workforce analytics, dashboard development or

People operations, with the ability to turn business questions into clear and actionable

insight

  • Strong capability in dashboard design, report development and management information,

with a focus on usability, storytelling and decision support

  • Strong understanding of workforce data, reporting governance, organisational structures

and the importance of consistent definitions and controls

  • Demonstrated ability to lead reporting priorities across multiple stakeholders, balancing

strategic asks, cyclical outputs and responsive support

  • Experience managing a varied reporting portfolio, balancing regular reporting cycles,

enhancement activity and responsive support for stakeholder requests

  • Confident in planning, prioritising and managing multiple tasks, with excellent self-

organisation and time management

  • Strong understanding of People processes, workforce measures and how operational

activity should translate into meaningful reporting and insight

  • Strong analytical capability, including experience working across multiple data sources,

reconciling outputs and improving trust in reported data

  • Experience producing audience-specific reporting, commentary and insight packs that

support operational action and senior decision-making

  • Experience supporting users and resolving system-related issues
  • Advanced IT skills including MS Excel, VLOOKUP's, Pivot Tables, Slicers
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
  • Effective communication skills, stakeholder management and interpersonal skills with the

ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users and the ability to collaborate

across stakeholders with a focus on usability and data quality

  • Solid understanding of stakeholder engagement and management, building strong trusted

relationships
