This role involves providing recovery coaching services as part of a team to support individuals and families in their recovery from substance use and co-occurring disorders.
- Assist clients in overcoming barriers, creating recovery plans, and connecting to resources for harm reduction, treatment, and support groups.
- Promote abstinence or harm reduction, serve as a mentor and role model, and facilitate community support connections.
- Maintain documentation in compliance with privacy laws and regulations.
- Engage in outreach to promote services and help individuals achieve independent living.
- Attend recovery meetings, provide referrals, and participate in peer reviews.
- Requires a high school diploma or GED, with attainment of WV Peer Recovery Credential within three months.
- Experience with substance use recovery, lived experience, and minimum one year in addiction/recovery work are essential.
- Must have transportation, valid driver’s license, and computer skills.
