General Summary:
Under the supervision of the Pediatric Director, the Pediatrician will provide care for infants, children, and adolescents. He/she will manage the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of patients. Whether conducting a routine checkup or treating illness or injury, the Pediatrician will play a critical role in keeping patients happy and healthy through every stage of development.
Major Areas of Responsibility:
• Diagnosing and treating illnesses, medical conditions, and injuries • Ordering, performing, and interpreting diagnostic tests • Collecting, recording, and maintaining patients information and histories • Prescribing and administering treatments, therapies, medications, vaccinations, and other specialized medical care • Explaining procedures and discussing test results or prescribed treatments with patients and family members • Monitoring patients conditions and progress • Directing, coordinating, consulting with, and referring patients to nurses, students, assistants, specialists, therapists, and other medical staff • Advising patients, parents, and guardians on diets, activities, hygiene, and disease prevention
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Eager and able to embody the mission and vision of Christ Community Health Able to demonstrate love, compassion, and genuine care when interacting with others Excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to relate to children Strong decision-making, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills Fluent in English and Spanish preferred
Education and Experience:
• Current licensure in the state of Georgia • Board Certified or eligibility for certification in pediatrics • Valid DEA license • Current CPR/AED certification

• Seeing: Must be able to read reports and use computer X • Hearing: Must be able to hear well enough to communicate with coworkers • Standing/Walking: Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods • Climbing/Stooping/Kneeling: Must be able to climb, stoop, and kneel as needed • Lifting/Pushing/Pulling: Must be able to lift, push, and pull patients and equipment • Fingering/Grasping/Feeling: Must be able to write, type, and use phone system
