Position Summary
The Nutrition Center at Boston Childrens Hospital is dedicated to providing infants, children, adolescents, and young adults with comprehensive nutrition assessmentsan essential component of individualized care plans for a wide range of conditions. This per diem Pediatric Registered Dietitian will provide basic nutritional care to patients on assigned inpatient units. The role involves evaluating medical, biochemical, and nutritional information to assess patient needs and develop appropriate nutrition care plans. The dietitian will also assist in supervising the daily work of the dietetic technician.
The position is scheduled on an as-needed basis. Ideally, we are looking for someone who is available to work 23 shifts per week, with coverage needs typically on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays.
This role also participates in the weekend rotation, which generally includes approximately 68 weekends per year, though the number of weekends could be more or less depending on departmental needs and staffing coverage.
During the training period, the selected candidate will be required to work 3 consecutive days per week for approximately 3 months, though the timeline may be extended depending on individual training needs and progression. Ideally, we would prefer someone who is available to work up to 5 days per week during training in order to become fully trained and independent sooner; however, a minimum availability of 3 days per week during training is preferred.

The posted pay range is Boston Childrens reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting.
