A 198-bed, Level III trauma center in Farmington is seeking a Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join its rehabilitation services team. Serving the Four Corners region of New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, and Utah, this facility offers a broad range of services including medical and surgical care, rehabilitation, behavioral health, and a dedicated pediatric unit.
This role focuses on providing occupational therapy services to pediatric patients during their acute care hospitalization. The therapist evaluates functional abilities, develops individualized treatment plans, and delivers targeted interventions designed to support recovery, independence, and safe discharge planning.
Working closely with physicians, nurses, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team, the Pediatric Occupational Therapist adapts therapeutic approaches to meet the unique needs of children with a wide variety of diagnoses. The position requires strong clinical judgment, flexibility, and the ability to function effectively in a fast-paced inpatient environment.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of acute care Occupational Therapy experience required
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon submission
Additional required certifications may be obtained after hire
Active licensure required prior to start; candidates without current New Mexico or compact licensure may be considered but must obtain licensure before employment
