Rush University Medical Center and Rush University Childrens Hospital, a nationally recognized clinical and academic institution and the teaching hospital for Rush Medical and Nursing Colleges, invites applications for the position of Pediatric Neurologist within the Department of Pediatrics and Division of Neurology.

 

Department and Division Specifics

  • Rush Neurological Sciences is proud to have strong programs in Epilepsy, Neurogenetics, and Neuromuscular Diseases
  • Our Neurology and Neurosurgery program is currently ranked 5th in U.S. & World News for specialty programs
  • Multiple funded research projects are ongoing in the Division with focuses on muscular dystrophy, Fragile X disease, Rett syndrome, Neimann-Pick and other neurogenetic areas
  • Rush University Childrens Hospital is a part of Rush University Medical Center with 110 pediatric beds
  • Our Categorical Pediatrics and Medicine/Pediatrics residency programs have had a 99% pass rate on the General Pediatrics Certifying Examination offered by the American Board of Pediatrics in the past 4 years.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Inpatient and Outpatient care at our downtown campus and Rush Copley Medical Center
  • Clinical care will include intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring, mapping of cortical function, bedside long term EEG monitoring, routine EEG and video EEG monitoring
  • Teaching medical students, Pediatric residents, Neurology residents at Rush University Medical Center
  • Participation in General Neurology inpatient rounding

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Epilepsy or Neurophysiology
  • Fellowship training in Pediatric Neurophysiology and preferred training in epilepsy.
  • Hold medical licensure in IL (or can obtain IL licensure)
  • Eligibility for a faculty appointment as assistant professor or level commensurate with their experience and accomplishments

Rush offers competitive total compensation that includes base pay, benefits, and other incentive programs for our employees. The total pay range shown reflects the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, knowledge and skills; relevant experience and training; education, certifications, and licensure; primary work location; and other business and organizational factors. This total pay range is for a full-time, 1.0 FTE employee, and includes any incentive payments that may be applicable to this role, as well as additional compensation such as sign-on and retention bonuses and relocation allowances. Opportunities for increased compensation based on exceeding productivity targets. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package.

 

Pay Range: $ 224,000 - $ 310,000
