Position: PCB Designer

The Company:NAPCO Security Technologies, Inc., headquartered in Amityville, Long Island NY, is a worldwide leader in the manufacturing of electronic security systems for over 50 years has a full time opening for a PCB Design Engineer to join our growing Engineering team.
Responsibilities/Requirements:
- 0 - 2+ years of PCB layout or related experience.
- Solid understanding of basic electronics principles.
- Familiarity with reading and interpreting component datasheets, application notes, and technical documentation.
- Familiarity with one or more of the following design areas:
- High-speed / high-density digital
- High-power / high-current analog
- RF / microwave hardware design and layout practices
- Proficiency with PCB schematic capture, symbol creation, and design library management.
- Proficiency with PCB schematic capture and design library management.
- Knowledge of mixed SMT and through-hole technologies.
- Ability to manage schematic and PCB revisions, including creation of ECNs and process documentation.
- Ability to research, select, and qualify components and alternate parts.
- Knowledge of IPC standards a plus.
- Familiarity with PCB manufacturing and assembly processes, including support of fabrication and production-related questions.
- Capable of supporting our in-house contract manufacturer production questions.
- Knowledge of PCB panelization processes is a plus.
- Knowledge of PADS PCB tools is highly preferred.
