Job Description: SMT Machine Operator / PCB Assembly Technician

Location: Tempe, AZ
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM
Position Type: Full-Time
Position Overview

Weare seeking an experienced SMT Machine Operator / PCB Assembly Technician to join our manufacturing team in Tempe, AZ. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with surface mount technology (SMT), printed circuit board (PCB) assembly, and electronic manufacturing processes.

This role requires more than basic soldering skills - candidates must have experience working directly with circuit board assembly, SMT equipment, and industry quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and monitor SMT production equipment and assembly machines
  • Perform PCB assembly and support electronic manufacturing processes
  • Read and interpret assembly drawings, work instructions, and schematics
  • Inspect assembled circuit boards for quality and accuracy
  • Troubleshoot minor machine or assembly issues during production
  • Ensure products meet IPC and J-STD quality standards
  • Maintain a clean and organized production environment
  • Follow all safety and quality procedures
Qualifications
  • Previous experience with SMT machine operation
  • Hands-on experience with PCB/circuit board assembly
  • Experience in electronic manufacturing environments
  • IPC and J-STD training/certifications preferred
  • Ability to identify electronic components and assembly defects
  • Strong attention to detail and quality
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Preferred Experience
  • SMT setup and machine troubleshooting
  • Electronic testing or inspection experience
  • Experience with automated assembly equipment
