Caregiver Needed – PCA, CNA, Nurse Aide Required
**SPECIFIC CLIENT LOCATED IN CUMBERLAND**
Do you enjoy helping others? Responsibilities include assisting with daily ADLs, running errands, providing transportation to doctor’s appointments, and offering meaningful companionship while families are away. If you have a heart for caregiving, we’d love for you to apply!
Primary Responsibilities
- Companionship and conversation
- Personal Care (assisting with bathing, grooming, dressing, bathroom needs, feeding)
- Light Housekeeping/Household Management (incl. laundry and linen changing)
- Apparel selection (i.e. laying out clothes)
- Meal planning and preparation
- Medication reminders
- Mobility support (standby assist, transfer, hoyer lift)
- Transportation using own or client’s vehicle
- Helping family members learn safe care techniques
- Tolerance to pets (dogs and/or cats)
- Lift 40lbs or less.
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older
- Ability to treat clients with dignity and respect
- Ability to read, write, and speak English at an average adult level and interpret the Plan of Care Document provided by Senior Helpers
- Ability to drive is required
- Have a valid Patient Care Assistant/Aide (PCA) certificate or Certified Nurse Aide state issued license (will be verified)
- Ability to get to work using reliable transportation
- Valid US issued driver’s license with no serious driving violations
- Ability to be flexible and adapt to new situations
- Pass a criminal background check prior to employment with Senior Helpers
- Pass a drug screening test
- Prior experience with dementia patients and senior care, a plus, but not required
- Must be able to be reached via phone, text, or email for shift schedules, client updates and/or emergencies
