Job Title: Payroll Tax Manager
Location: New york, NYC
Schedule: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Pay Rate : $70-75/hr
Description:
In this role, you would be responsible for managing high-volume, multi-state payroll tax operations across Federal, State, and Local jurisdictions. The team is looking for someone with strong hands-on experience in payroll tax compliance, reconciliations, tax filings, notices, audits. A large part of the role involves working with third-party tax vendors such as ADP SmartCompliance and ensuring payroll tax data is accurate and compliant across multiple entities and states, especially New York and California.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Managing payroll tax remittance and filings (monthly, quarterly, annual)
- Handling federal/state payroll tax notices and audits
- Reconciling wages, withholdings, and payroll tax balances
- Reviewing/amending Forms and payroll tax returns
- Supporting SOX compliance, reporting, and system testing
- Partnering with Accounting and Treasury teams on payroll tax matters
