Position Summary Responsible for the accurate processing of weekly payroll, time records, end-of-period union and tax filings, and assisting the Director of Payroll with various payroll duties.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Process union payroll reports and remittances
  • Create and maintain personnel files
  • Perform new hire setup and employee maintenance
  • Complete requests for unemployment and employment verifications
  • Complete local, state, and federal tax reports and remittances
  • Interface with field and shop workers
  • Complete and submit weekly certified payroll reports
  • Provide payroll-related customer service to field and management employees
  • Provide administrative support to the payroll department
  • Assist the Director of Payroll with various audits
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Associates degree in accounting or related field, or a combination of education and experience
  • Strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Effective time management and organization skills
  • Excellent customer service skills and attention to detail
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both internal and external
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment
