Position Overview:
As the Payroll Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time across multiple payroll cycles. You will work closely with HR and Finance teams, maintain payroll records, resolve payroll inquiries, and help support compliance efforts. Responsibilities of the Payroll Specialist:
  • Process high-volume payroll across multiple pay cycles with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Maintain and update payroll records, employee data, and payroll documentation.
  • Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee payroll inquiries.
  • Reconcile payroll reports and assist with payroll audits and compliance requirements.
  • Partner with Human Resources and Finance teams on payroll-related matters.
  • Ensure payroll processes align with company policies and applicable regulations.
  • Generate payroll reports and assist with payroll analysis as needed.
  • Support continuous process improvements within payroll operations.
Required Experience/Skills for the Payroll Specialist:
  • 2+ years of payroll processing experience.
  • Experience handling high-volume payroll environments.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including data management and reporting.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Payroll Specialist:
  • Experience with UKG, Kronos, or similar payroll systems.
  • Experience working within educational, nonprofit, or mission-driven organizations.
  • Familiarity with payroll compliance and reporting requirements.
Education Requirements:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Equivalent payroll experience will also be considered.
