Job Overview - Payroll Operations Specialist - 34374

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Operations Specialist to support payroll operations by serving as a key resource for internal stakeholders. This role is responsible for resolving payroll-related inquiries, managing support tickets, identifying process improvements, and ensuring payroll transactions are completed accurately and efficiently.

The ideal candidate enjoys problem-solving, delivering exceptional customer service, and working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment while continuously looking for ways to improve processes and enhance the employee experience.

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for payroll-related questions and support requests from internal customers.
  • Create, manage, and resolve work orders within the ticketing system while maintaining accurate documentation and audit trails.
  • Research and resolve payroll issues by partnering with field managers and cross-functional teams through to completion.
  • Support payroll applications and systems, providing recommendations for process enhancements and system improvements.
  • Process payroll-related transactions, including off-cycle payments and required payroll corrections.
  • Respond to email inquiries and support requests in accordance with established service standards.
  • Maintain a high level of customer service while meeting established response time and quality standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 1+ years of customer service, payroll support, HR operations, or call center experience.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment with competing priorities.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to research and resolve complex issues.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience working with ticket management or case management systems preferred.
  • Payroll processing knowledge is preferred.
  • SAP experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
