We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Payroll Manager to join our team in the Construction industry. This is a pivotal role within our organization that will oversee the entire payroll function, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all relevant regulations. The successful candidate will have a strong background in HRIS implementation and HR & Finance strategy, with a proven track record of managing complex payroll systems. This role is integral to our business operations and offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on our company's success.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the full-cycle payroll process for the company, ensuring timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
  • Implement, maintain, and review payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
  • Collaborate with HR and Finance departments to align and streamline payroll procedures and ensure accuracy of financial data.
  • Lead HRIS implementation projects, ensuring systems are optimized to meet the business needs and improve efficiency.
  • Develop and implement payroll policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and ensure compliance.
  • Prepare and present reports on payroll operations to senior management, providing insights and recommendations for improvements.
  • Manage and resolve issues relating to payroll production.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of payroll management experience, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Proficient with HRIS implementation and HR & Finance strategy.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations related to salaries, wages, taxes, benefits, and other payroll-related matters.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization.
  • High level of integrity and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
