The Payroll Manager will be responsible for all aspects of payroll including improving efficiencies and system improvements. Payroll candidates with their CPP and/or PRISMHR experience are highly encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the processing several multi-state payrolls each week ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Proactively research and resolve payroll issues for all employees, hourly and salary
  • Calculate and submit various accounting and payroll adjustments such as separation and termination payouts, retroactive payments, multi-job overtime, health and other benefit payments, and other miscellaneous payments
  • Keep all employee records accurate
  • Performance management including, training, mentoring, and coaching staff
  • Ensure compliance with laws and regulations

Required Qualifications

  • Three plus years of strong in-house multi-state payroll experience
  • Two-plus years supervising multi-state payroll for hourly and salaried employees
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to learn new and complex payroll, tax and software related information
  • The ability to take basic concepts and apply them to new and more complex situations
  • Organization skills: the ability to multi-task, set priorities and follow up on all client commitments
  • Service attitude with at least four years providing proven positive results, professionalism, and strong focus on client satisfaction
  • Ability to work under the pressure of time constraints and to prioritize client issues
  • Ability to multi-task, work in a fast-paced team and meet deadlines
  • Proven, effective management and leadership skills in a stressful, high-pressure environment
