Kforce has a client that is seeking a Payroll Manager in New York, NY. Duties Include:
  • Oversee and manage payroll operations across multiple regions and employee populations
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll cycles on a recurring schedule
  • Lead and support a payroll team, including workload management and performance oversight
  • Coordinate payroll activities across domestic and international locations
  • Manage high-volume, deadline-driven payroll periods, including month-end cycles
  • Partner with HR to process employee changes such as hires, terminations, and compensation updates
  • Support planning and execution of employee-related programs tied to payroll and benefits
  • Ensure compliance with payroll regulations, policies, and internal controls
  • Monitor and improve payroll processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy
  • Provide reporting, data analysis, and support for audits or business needs

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Experience managing payroll operations, including multi-location or global environments
  • Strong understanding of payroll processes, compliance, and reporting requirements
  • Experience leading or supporting a payroll team
  • Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Excel (e.g., pivot tables, lookups) and payroll systems
  • Experience with HRIS or payroll platforms (e.g., Workday, UKG, or similar) preferred
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, especially with HR and cross-functional teams
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
