Job Overview – Payroll Coordinator
Compensation: $30 – $32/hour
Location: Westchester County, NY
Schedule: Monday to Friday (In-Office)

TAG MedStaffing is hiring a Payroll Coordinator in Westchester County, NY for our client, supporting payroll processing, employee support, and payroll administration within a fast-paced corporate environment. This temporary opportunity will focus on payroll operations, Workday administration, employee records management, and payroll-related reporting while supporting day-to-day HR and accounting functions. The ideal candidate has prior payroll processing experience, Workday expertise, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities as the Payroll Coordinator:
  • Payroll Processing: Support weekly payroll processing activities including payroll reports, manual adjustments, absence approvals, and payroll data review.
  • Workday Administration: Maintain employee records within Workday including direct deposit updates, tax changes, payroll inputs, and employee data management.
  • Employee Support: Assist employees with payroll-related inquiries, payroll documentation, and employee support requests.
  • Reporting & Compliance: Prepare payroll reports, verification requests, year-to-date earnings breakdowns, and supporting payroll documentation.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Partner with HR, accounting, managers, and legal teams to support payroll accuracy, compliance, and employee requests.
  • Administrative Support: Manage payroll-related emails, process payroll correspondence, and support day-to-day payroll and HR operational activities.

Qualifications for the Payroll Coordinator:
  • Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Business, or a related field is required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1+ year of payroll processing or payroll administration experience is required.
  • Industry Knowledge: Understanding of payroll operations, employee records management, garnishments, payroll reporting, and compliance procedures is required.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with Workday payroll processing is required, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and payroll reporting functions.
  • Skills & Attributes: Strong attention to detail, communication skills, organizational abilities, customer service skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment are required.
