Payroll Coordinator

Location: New York, NY

Job Type: Contract

Schedule: Monday – Friday

Hours: 35 Hours Per Week

Job Summary

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a Payroll Coordinator to support payroll operations and provide exceptional customer service regarding payroll and timekeeping matters. The ideal candidate will serve as a liaison between employees, payroll, and HR teams while ensuring accurate payroll processing and issue resolution.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • Minimum 1 year of payroll experience required

  • Experience with timesheet preparation and reconciliation

  • Payroll preparation experience

  • Proficiency with payroll-related software and computer systems

  • Strong customer service and communication skills

  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve payroll-related issues

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Responsibilities

  • Review, prepare, and reconcile employee timesheets.

  • Assist with payroll preparation and processing activities.

  • Serve as a liaison between employees and payroll departments.

  • Respond to payroll and timekeeping inquiries in a professional and timely manner.

  • Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee concerns.

  • Utilize payroll, HR, and enterprise software systems to troubleshoot issues.

  • Complete payroll and timekeeping forms accurately.

  • Escalate complex payroll matters to appropriate departments when necessary.

  • Assist employees with self-service payroll and timekeeping systems.

  • Collaborate with Payroll and HR teams to ensure accurate processing.

  • Maintain compliance with payroll policies, procedures, and regulations.

  • Support special projects and additional payroll-related duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Payroll customer service experience

  • Experience supporting large employee populations

  • Familiarity with HRIS, payroll, or timekeeping systems

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
