Core Function
Key Responsibilities
- Payroll Execution: Runs bi-weekly staff payroll and monthly AFC payroll using CheckWriters. This includes labor allocations and ensuring all wage/hour law compliance.
- Maintains: Check log, employee data, compensation, deduction updates.
- Process: Bi-weekly 403(b) and quarterly pension deposits.
- Prepares: Journal entries to be posted to the general ledger.
- Reconciliation: Handles fringe benefit monthly, quarterly 941, position control, time off accruals, and other reporting requirements.
- Year-End Compliance: Handles high-stakes reporting including W-2s, ACA (Affordable Care Act) filings, and insurance renewals.
- Data Integrity: Archives digital payroll reports for audit readiness.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: At least 3 years of payroll experience
- Software Stack: Priority is placed on CheckWriters and Abila MIP, alongside the Excel requirements.
- Education: Associate’s degree is preferred.
- Aptitude: High mathematical accuracy and the ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive employee salary data.
