PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
Review and code daily work logs from Rentals department.
Work with operations if any questions or errors occur (i.e. missing logs, missing lunches or clock in and clock out times etc.).
Enter hours into Rentals summary accurately.
Update Employee listing as necessary.
Update Certified Payroll worksheet with jobs worked in the pay period.
Submit payroll to payroll manager for review and approval.
Prepare and distribute checks sent out via interoffice mail.
Upload payroll acknowledgment sheets to Box.
Keeps current with a comprehensive understanding of applicable union agreements and prevailing wage requirements to ensure accurate payroll processing.
Perform other duties as assigned.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work Hours: Monday - Friday 7:30am to 4:00pm
PRINCIPAL REQUIREMENTS:
Skills/Knowledge:
Math: Strong mathematical skills to produce accurate calculations for payroll.
Reading: Good reading skills required.
Computer: Working knowledge of Word, Excel, Email; Aptitude to learn in-house systems; Keyboarding skills sufficient to complete daily tasks in a timely manner. Experience with Sage 100 and Vista systems a plus.
Education: AS degree in Accounting preferred but not required.
Experience: 2 years of payroll experience, preferably in the construction industry.
