About this role:

The Payroll Clerk, under direct supervision, supports the payroll department by performing essential payroll functions and responsibilities. This position requires a basic understanding of payroll processes and collaborates with other departments to ensure accurate data integration. Effective partnership with various departments is key to ensuring seamless payroll operations.

What you bring to the table:

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent certification required. Associate’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or closely related field preferred.

Experience

  • Two (2) years payroll or accounting experience, preferably in a healthcare environment. Working knowledge of payroll procedures and general clerical experience.   Knowledge of various software programs. Working knowledge of business English, good grammar and spelling skills, and the ability to develop correspondence, reports, and operational directives. Excellent organizational and communications skills.

Licenses/Certifications

  • None
What you will do:
  • Process incoming mail for the payroll department and forward garnishment orders to UKG for processing.
  • Forward tax notices to the payroll tax team and handle verifications of employment.
  • Provide customer service for payroll-related inquiries via phone or ServiceNow, and assist in managing ServiceNow tickets.
  • Process data requests from HR, Legal, and Accounting, and collaborate with these departments on various matters.
  • Assist with various projects and perform other duties as assigned.
