Payroll & Benefits Coordinator
REPORTS TO: Human Resource Manager
BUILDING ASSIGNMENT: District Office
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain confidentiality of payroll, budget, and personnel information.
- Prepare and process bi-weekly payrolls, including timesheets for hourly employees
- Process payroll variances including insurance deductions, HSAs, FSAs, and retirement contributions.
- Set up new employees and process employee terminations in Skyward.
- Update employee records and salary changes within the payroll system.
- Assist employees with payroll questions and concerns via phone and email.
- Prepare and submit employment verification requests.
- Process the District's 403(b) retirement plan and Wisconsin Retirement System (WRS).
- Process enrollment and changes for life insurance, supplemental life, dependent life insurance, LTD.
- Administer HSA and FSA enrollment (Medical FS, and Dependent Care FSA.)
- Assist with annual health, dental, and vision open enrollment.
- Reconcile and process payroll-related invoices and vouchers including taxes, retirement contributions, insurance premiums, garnishments, and benefit deductions.
- Prepare payroll records and reports for annual audits and Worker's Compensation audits.
- Reconcile and submit annual WRS reporting.
- Complete required insurance census reporting and nondiscrimination testing.
- Prepare and submit annual W-2 reporting.
- Serve as back up to other office staff
- Any other responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
