Pay Rate- $17-$18 Job Description: - Process and analyze time, earnings, and deductions/withholdings on a weekly basis to derive accurate net pay in compliance with union contracts and Human Resource/unit policies - Independently analyze and resolve complex payroll issues -** Communicate with employees of various levels regarding pay questions, processes, and training - Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with peers, unit partners, and other functional areas Required Skills: - High attention to detail and accuracy - Strong analytical skills and experience with complex data analysis - Strong interpersonal communication and teamwork skills - Ability to quickly learn multiple Payroll/IT software systems - Ability to approach change with a positive mindset - Ability to identify and implement process improvements - Experience using Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel, Outlook, and Word - Mature candidates who can handle confidential information Desired Skills: - Knowledge of payroll and payroll tax - Experience maintaining confidential information - Proficiency with SAP - Experience using IBM/Host applications, such as TSO (Time Sharing Option) and RMDS (Report Management and Distribution System) Education: Associate or bachelors degree in a business or accounting discipline or equivalent experience.
