Located in the beautiful coastal town of Dana Point adjacent to Laguna Beach, this town played an iconic role in the emergence of California''s surf culture and today is celebrated for its laid-back vibe and fun, active lifestyle.

The resort is perched on 175 acres atop a 150-foot seaside bluff with over 400 rooms, 115,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space, and 8 food and Beverage outlets. This includes 4 restaurants, a beach club, lounge, marketplace, and in-room dining.

Exceptional Hospitality Starts with You

Picture yourself brightening someone's day. When you join our Hotels team, that's exactly what you'll do every time you come to work! As a Payroll and Labor Analytics Manager, you're not just leading the hotel's payroll operations - you're spreading the light and warmth of hospitality by delivering memorable experiences that make the stay for every guest.

Process Bi-Weekly Payroll: 40%

  • Review and submit all tips/commission/service charges/other pay

  • Confirm schedules received in balance

  • Submit TMX ticket and send schedules

  • Review earnings details for:

  • Unpaired punches

  • Corrections done properly

  • Attestations actioned correctly

  • Review Blended Sick/Holiday and update tracking

  • Update benefit rate on OEM for time off

  • Salaried Managers Exempt Sheets

  • Review all signed sheets

  • Follow up on signed days off versus Unifocus

  • Balance input hours/dollars to schedule maintained for each week of payroll

  • Review over 40 hours reports for accuracy

  • Review balancing email sent by SSC for reply if necessary

  • Run all payroll audit reports

  • Compile packet for approval by DOF/Controller

  • Maintain Payroll Checklist, SOPs, and instructional documents for payroll process.

  • Create SOPs in order to standardize property payroll for consistency

  • Train new managers on payroll processing and expectations

  • Audit system report to ensure accuracy. For example: PTO Accruals, Blended Rate Calculations

  • Ensure property is strictly adhering to Federal and State Labor/Payroll laws and regulations

LMS: Reporting and Analysis - 60%

  • Send out labor reports minimum of 3 times per week, with commentary

  • Review pay codes in Unifocus for new hires

  • Correct job code used?

  • Mapped to standard correctly?

  • Create Standards

  • Review requirements

  • Work with managers on creating and modifying standards

  • Communicate with DOF/Controller on impact to forecast

  • Review leased labor and analyze effectiveness of staffing

  • Versus Standards

  • Versus Forecast/Budget

  • Hold weekly Labor Meetings

  • Review with EC and Managers pacing on expense and revenue changes

  • Maintain notes from meetings and follow up on items as necessary
