The Payroll Administrator is responsible for the management of employee data, maintaining payroll systems, ensuring the accuracy of timesheets and that employees are paid correctly and on time. 

The incumbent in this position is expected to model the following practices on a daily basis: 1) Demonstrate alignment with the company's mission and core business values; 2) Collaborate with key internal/external resources; 3) Participate in ongoing self-development.


Essential Functions



• Maintains the payroll function within the HRIS system by coordinating with internal customers and outside vendors including, but not limited to, UKG Software, Empower and CEFCU.


• Processes employee data including hours worked, salaries and deductions in order to correctly administer payroll.


• Reconciles batches in the payroll system for hourly employees on the Work Force Management system.


• Manages payroll data for employees and updates information and deductions as needed.


• Performs other payroll and accounting projects as directed by supervisor


• Works safely at all times and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards


• Requires regular and punctual employee attendance


•Performs other duties as assigned and fulfills responsibilities as required


 


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities



• Exceptional organizational, planning, self-management, time management and multi-tasking skills.


• Ability to work on multiple projects and deal effectively with employees and management.


• Working knowledge of a Payroll/HRIS software (Ex. Ultimate Software – UKG, Dayforce etc.)


• Advanced Microsoft Office products skills. 


• Technical knowledge and expertise related to the payroll process and associated work-flow process.


• Uses logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems and ability to understand implications to an individual and/or the organization


 


Requirements



Education and Experience:


• Minimum of three years job-related experience required


• High school diploma or equivalent with additional specialized training required


• Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) or Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred


 


Supervisory Responsibilities:


• None


 


Travel: 


• Limited travel is to be expected

• This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines


 


Work Environment:


• This job is performed inside a professional office environment, in environmentally controlled conditions
