Summary:
Wells Fargo is seeking a highly self-motivated Payments Operations Consultant to support Wires Payments Operations across a complex, multi-application environment. This role will focus on defect management, executive reporting, and cross-functional coordination supporting approximately multiple payment-related applications across the bank.
The ideal candidate brings strong attention to detail, experience with Agile tools, and the ability to communicate effectively with leadership while driving issue resolution in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Lead and support defect identification, tracking, prioritization, and resolution for Wires Payments systems
Manage defect efforts across a large ecosystem (bank-wide payment operations)
Develop and maintain burndown charts and performance metrics to track defect progress and resolution timelines
Create and deliver executive-level reporting, including written summaries and leadership presentations
Present defect status, trends, and risk updates to executives in both meetings and written materials
Facilitate daily review meetings with multiple internal stakeholders to drive alignment and resolution
Capture and distribute meeting notes, action items, and key takeaways
Ensure compliance with control policies, processes, and procedures
Partner cross-functionally to improve operational efficiency and resolve issues quickly
Qualifications:
Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
Experience working with wire payments, including MX formatted messages
Proficiency with Agile tools such as JIRA and/or Octane (ALM Octane)
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interact confidently with all levels of management, including executives
Proven ability to create executive reporting and data visualizations (e.g., burndown charts)
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
Demonstrated ability to be highly self-motivated and work independently
Experience with Wires Payments systems, including SWIFT, FED, and CHIPS
Knowledge of Money Transfer Systems
Strong prioritization and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple defect streams and shift priorities quickly in a dynamic environment
