Payloads Design Engineer 3
Location: North Charleston, South Carolina (On-site)
Employment Type: Contract-to-hire
Role Overview
We are seeking a Payloads Design Engineer (Level 3) to join a team focused on the design and build of aircraft interiors, such as stow bins and crew areas. This role involves managing the structural and mechanical aspects of interior systems throughout the product lifecycle. The position requires supporting production fabrication, resolving design questions from the manufacturing floor, and contributing to an environment of continuous learning.
Key Responsibilities
Required Qualifications
Education: A Bachelors or Masters of Science degree from an accredited course of study in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Structural engineering. Technology degrees are not applicable for this role.
Experience: A minimum of five years of related work experience with a Bachelors degree, or three years of related work experience with a Masters degree. Candidates should be able to articulate their technical experience and capabilities.
Technical Skills: At least five years of experience with 3-D modeling tools such as CATIA, SOLIDWORKS, Pro-E, or 3DX.
