The Patient Transporter is responsible for safely and efficiently transporting patients of all ages to and from treatment appointments using wheelchairs, stretchers, beds, and ambulation.
Responsibilities include timely transportation following department guidelines, assisting patients with transfers, observing safety policies, handling medical equipment properly, and maintaining patient confidentiality.
They must respond promptly to dispatch, ensure safety precautions, and support patient care activities such as positioning and restraining patients. Maintaining a clutter-free environment and adhering to attendance policies are essential.
Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, with no specific experience or certifications required. The role involves participating in training, maintaining equipment, and providing excellent customer service, with a schedule of approximately 64 hours per pay period in a full-time capacity.
