Expected pay for this position is $21.93 - $25.80/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an Hourly position.

Overview:

This position will be working at OSF Home Infusion Pharmacy in Peoria, IL

 

Work schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 8 hour shift between the hours of 7:30am-6:00pm. On call and holiday rotation is required

 

POSITION SUMMARY: The Patient Service Specialist is responsible for receiving new referrals and accurately initiating paperwork and computer admission. Provides direct assistance and support to pharmacists and reimbursement staff. Participates in licensed pharmacy functions under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist. Interacts with patients, home care staff, and physicians to coordinate and perform patient supply management.

Qualifications:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: High School Diploma/ GED

 

Licensure/Certifications: Active Pharmacy Technician license issued by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR). Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) validated by Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or National Healthcareer Association (ExCPT).

 

Other Skills/ Knowledge: Interpersonal skills for effective verbal and written communication.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience: One year of intravenous admixture compounding experience. Licensure/Certifications: Maintains a valid driver’s license.

 

Other skills or knowledge: Must be able to use and operate medical and/or office equipment. Experience working with government and accrediting agency officials.
