Job Title: Patient Services Representative
Location: Oklahoma City, OK 73104
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift/Schedule: Full-time, 5x8 Days (40 hours/week)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Register, classify, admit, and schedule patient appointments.
  • Interview patients and responsible parties to obtain demographic, financial, and registration information.
  • Serve as the hospital intake representative.
  • Schedule appointments according to established procedures and guidelines.
  • Manage patient and visitor flow using the hospital information system.
  • Provide general information regarding hospital access and operating procedures.
  • Direct patients and visitors to appropriate departments for additional inquiries.
  • Review registrations, admissions, and appointments for accuracy.
  • Receive physician orders for admissions, registrations, and scheduling.
  • Collect payments and issue receipts for hospital services.
  • Maintain reports and logs as required.
  • Answer patient phone calls, schedule appointments, and coordinate referrals.
  • Perform other assigned duties.

Requirements:

  • No formal education required.
  • No experience required; 1+ year of general office experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of spelling, grammar, punctuation, and basic mathematics.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Typing/keyboarding proficiency.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Team-oriented with a strong customer service mindset.

Preferences:

  • 1+ year of general office experience.
  • Experience answering patient calls, scheduling appointments, and coordinating referrals.
  • Hard-working team player with a patient-first approach.
