Position: Patient Services Representative
Location: La Mesa, CA
Hourly Range: $25 - 30 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM

Diabetes and Endocrine Specialists, a leading private practice in La Mesa, is seeking Patient Services Representative Scheduler. Our practice combines top-notch staff, advanced technology, and personalized care protocols to deliver exceptional patient experiences in endocrinology and diabetes management.
Role Description:
As a Patient Services Representative, you will play a crucial role in providing administrative support and exceptional customer service in a healthcare setting. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure a positive experience for patients and referring offices.
Duties:
- Answer and manage / triage incoming calls using multi-line phone systems
- Triage and manage incoming messages and faxes, and froward to appropriate team members
- Schedule patient appointments and maintain clinic calendars
- Update patient demographics and keep data up to date
- Utilize Epic EHR software for patient data management
- Provide medical administrative support to providers and staff
- Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and external contacts
Requirements:
- Minimum High school diploma
- Relevant experience working as a patient representative, minimum 12 months
- Epic EHR software
- Knowledge of medical terms and practices
- Intermediate user of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access)
- Professional demeanor
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Fluency in Spanish is a plus for better patient communication
